The Social Travel Summit 2018 kicks off on 25th September in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We expect approximately 130 delegates, including 54 top travel influencers from 17 countries, to arrive in Belfast for two days of expert keynotes, seminars, round-table discussions, networking and fun events.
Preparations are in full swing to ensure #STSBelfast is the best STS edition yet, with a programme full of insights and thought-provoking ideas, fun-filled events that showcase the rich cultural and culinary offerings of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and tours of Belfast and other areas in Northern Ireland.
This year, we’re also introducing a special STS project to measure how travel blogs influence the consumer journey. 35 bloggers attending STS will participate in this ground-breaking project, a partnership between VisitBritain, iambassador, Travel Audience and Amadeus Video Solutions.
The #STSBelfast Programme starts with pre-conference tours for all delegates on Monday, 24th September. In the evening, delegates will be welcomed at a cocktail party with bespoke #STSBelfast cocktails in the Grand Room of the Merchant Hotel. This will be followed by a walking tour around the Cathedral Quarter and a casual dinner.
The next day, delegates will be able to go on an exclusive breakfast tour of the iconic Titanic Belfast museum before the conference. The conference kicks off at 9am with a special welcome in true STS style at The Merchant Hotel.
On the evening of 25th September, delegates are in for a spectacular treat at the STS Gala Dinner at the St. Anne’s Cathedral, courtesy of our partners VisitBritain and Tourism Northern Ireland. The 3-course meal will be prepared by Northern Ireland’s leading chef, and delegates will enjoy unique performances, food and gin/whiskey tastings. In addition, there will be some special surprises in store!
The conference programme continues the following day and is scheduled to end at 5pm. From 7pm, delegates have a final opportunity to network and enjoy a fun evening at the STS Closing Reception & Dinner, courtesy of VisitEngland.
